A note before we start. X2O is a general-wellness hydration product and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Prices below are US launch-period figures; prices, promotions and availability change, so always check the official LifeWave store. This is not medical advice.
Once you’ve read about the LifeWave X2O, the practical question is cost. Here’s what it cost at the 2026 US customer launch, what the ongoing costs are, and how to judge whether it’s worth it.
Key takeaways
- At US launch: $5,995 retail, $5,495 for Preferred/Preferred+ customers.
- One-time unit cost plus periodic filter replacements.
- You’re paying mostly for the hydrogen and light steps, which aren’t proven.
- A certified filter covers the established part for a fraction of the price.
Price at launch
At the July 2026 US customer launch, X2O was $5,995 for retail customers and $5,495 for Preferred and Preferred+ customers. Treat these as reference figures and confirm the current price before ordering. See X2O now available to customers.
What’s included
A countertop unit with its filter stages installed. LifeWave’s setup guidance calls for a stable surface near a power outlet, some clearance behind the unit, a sink or bucket for the drain hose, and an initial flush. Approved water types include tap, spring, filtered and distilled. See X2O setup.
Ongoing costs
Replacement filters. How often depends on usage and source water. Budget for the unit plus an annual consumables cost, and check current filter prices on the official store.
Retail or Preferred?
At launch, Preferred pricing was $500 lower on the unit, in exchange for a subscription-style relationship with LifeWave. That suits people who’ll reorder filters or other products. If you want no ongoing relationship, retail is simpler.
At launch, X2O wasn’t available to customers in California, Wisconsin or Iowa. Check current status.
Is it worth the price?
Filtration and hydrogen are both available separately for much less. What X2O adds is integration plus the patented light step — and there’s no independent evidence that step does anything. Hydrogen water is early research with mixed results. So the honest answer: if budget is comfortable and you want an all-in-one unit with an experimental extra, it’s an option. If you’re price-driven, start with a good certified filter and plenty of water. I wear an X39 patch daily; I don’t own an X2O.
