A note before we start. This article describes how LifeWave positions two of its products. It is not medical advice. LifeWave X39 is a non-transdermal, general-wellness phototherapy patch that gently stimulates the skin with light to support the body’s natural energy flow for strength and stamina. It is not a stem cell product. Neither X39 nor X2O is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

LifeWave sells two products that people often ask about together: the X39 patch and the X2O water system. LifeWave markets them as complementary parts of a daily wellness routine. Here’s what each one is, how LifeWave positions the combination, and what I will and won’t claim.

Key takeaways

  • X39 is a non-transdermal, general-wellness phototherapy patch.
  • X2O is a LifeWave water system that LifeWave describes as filtering, hydrogen-enriching and “light-infusing” water.
  • LifeWave positions X2O as designed to complement its patches.
  • Independent evidence for “light-infused” water is lacking; judge it as a hydration product.
  • Neither product is a treatment for anything, and good hydration from any clean water source matters.

What is the X39 patch?

X39 is a non-transdermal, general-wellness phototherapy patch that gently stimulates the skin with light to support the body’s natural energy flow for strength and stamina. Nothing is designed to cross the skin. It’s worn for up to 12 hours a day. See What Is X39?

What is the X2O water system?

According to LifeWave, X2O filters water, enriches it with hydrogen, and applies a patented “light-infusion” process. LifeWave describes the result as Light-Infused™ Water. Filtration is a well-understood technology; hydrogen-rich water is an area of early research; and there’s no independent evidence I’m aware of that “light-infused” water does anything different in the body from ordinary clean water. I’d judge it primarily as a filtered-water and hydration product. More in what is light-infused water?

How does LifeWave position the combination?

LifeWave describes X2O as designed to complement its non-transdermal patches and Cellergize supplement, and groups its products into tiers: Essential (X39), Enhanced (X39 + Cellergize) and Amplified (X39 + Cellergize + X2O). That’s the company’s product design and marketing — not independent evidence that combining them produces better health outcomes.

Does hydration matter?

Yes — even mild dehydration affects energy and focus, and most adults benefit from drinking regularly through the day. That’s true whatever water you drink. I take Perform electrolytes daily as part of my own routine, alongside lifting every second day and 10,000+ steps.

A sensible way to use both

If you choose to use them: drink water regularly through the day, wear X39 for up to 12 hours following the pack instructions, and keep the fundamentals — training, sleep, protein — front and centre. Personal stories about combining products vary and aren’t evidence of results.

Where does X39 fit? I wear an X39 patch daily as a general-wellness habit. LifeWave X39 is a non-transdermal, general-wellness phototherapy patch that gently stimulates the skin with light to support the body’s natural energy flow for strength and stamina. It is not a stem cell product and is not a treatment for any condition.

Frequently asked questions

Can you use X2O and X39 together?

Yes — LifeWave markets them to be used together. That’s product positioning, not evidence of extra benefit.

What does the X39 patch do?

LifeWave describes it as a general-wellness phototherapy patch that gently stimulates the skin with light to support the body’s natural energy flow for strength and stamina.

Is X2O different from drinking more water?

X2O filters water and adds hydrogen; LifeWave also describes a light-infusion step. There’s no independent evidence I’m aware of that light-infused water has special effects. Staying well hydrated is the proven part.

What is LifeWave’s Amplified tier?

LifeWave’s marketing groups X39 + Cellergize + X2O as its “Amplified” tier.

Is Cellergize safe to take?

It’s a dietary supplement. Check the label, and ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication.

Does X39 or X2O treat any condition?

No. Neither is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and X39 is not a stem cell product.
