Today was Saturday, and Saturdays look different.
I still got up around 7 a.m., but the structure of the day changed — and that’s part of real life. If you can only stay consistent when conditions are perfect, you’re going to struggle long-term. The goal isn’t rigidity. The goal is adaptability without abandoning the process.
Morning Routine (Non-Negotiables)
First things first, as always:
- Perfect Amino on waking (empty stomach – non-negotiable)
- X39 and X49 patches on immediately
- Hydration started early
Breakfast was around 8 a.m.:
- Four-egg omelette
- Onion and tomato mixed through
Simple. Real food. Nothing fancy.
On Saturdays, we bring the twins to Greek school, which means we’re out of the house from about 9:15 a.m. until close to 1 p.m. That automatically shifts the day’s rhythm — meals, work blocks, movement — everything.
Instead of fighting that, I worked with it.
WHOOP Check-In (Reality, Not Ego)
Last night’s WHOOP data wasn’t great, and I’ll include the screenshot here so you can see it for yourself.
- Sleep: 83%
- Recovery: 34%
- Strain: 12.2
That tells a clear story:
I’ve been pushing. Recovery needs attention.
That doesn’t mean stopping everything. It means listening, adjusting, and not pretending fatigue isn’t there.
Lunch & Midday Support
We got home around 1:30–2:00 p.m., and that’s when I had lunch:
- Ribeye steak
- Button mushrooms
- Followed by a Huel Black shake
- Plus a clear whey isolate protein
After lunch (not immediately), I added:
- Perform electrolytes
- 10g creatine
Spacing this matters, especially with digestion and energy levels.
No Workout — And That’s OK
No workout today.
That wasn’t laziness. That was context.
Recovery data was low, the morning was busy, and Saturdays aren’t built for long training sessions right now. Instead, I focused on:
- Work blocks
- Updating my CRM
- Lining up fresh contacts for calls tomorrow or Monday
- Listening to audios
- Short breath-work sessions between errands
Progress doesn’t only come from the gym.
Dinner & Eating Window
Dinner was earlier today — around 5 p.m., intentionally.
- Ground beef (about 200g)
- Onion mixed through
That was it. Clean, simple, done.
I deliberately changed my eating window today, which I actually think is healthy to do every so often. It keeps the body adaptable and prevents rigid habits from becoming stressors.
The Bigger Lesson Today
Today wasn’t clean.
It wasn’t perfect.
It wasn’t Instagram-worthy.
But it was consistent.
I stuck to the fundamentals:
- Supplements
- Patches
- Protein
- Hydration
- Work
- Family
- Recovery awareness
This journey isn’t about pretending life is neat. It’s about showing up inside the mess and still stacking days.
Tomorrow, the plan adjusts again.
And I’ll keep documenting it — honestly.
Because this is how real change actually happens.
